TRACCE is maintained by Footsteps of Man (Orme dell'Uomo), an IFRAO member archaeological organization working in Valcamonica (Italy), one of the most important Rock Art sites in Europe.
TRACCE è curato dalla Cooperativa Archeologica Le Orme dell'Uomo. membro IFRAO e operante in Valcamonica (Brescia - Italia), uno dei principali siti dell'arte rupestre europea.
- It is open to all Rock Art researchers and organizations.
- It's FREE and without any subvention or sponsor.
- There will be a new issue each five-six months.

If interested please send us texts (max 4500 characters) and pictures (the best are compressed GIF and JPG max 300K) as attached files directly by email (WINWORD6 - JPG - GIF - TIF - EPS, all IBM/PC) or by snail mail (we will scan your pictures or tracings) to Footsteps of Man address (see below) till 15 days before each issue.
You will have one or more online previews of your paper.
Il fomato più opportuno è di 3000-4500 caratteri per ogni articolo e 2-3 immagini. Si possono eccezionalmwente accettare articoli più lunghi, anche divisi in due o più parti. Chi fosse interessato può inviare testi e immagini (GIF e JPG max 300 k) direttamente via posta elettronica. Chi non fosse in grado di provvedere alle scansione può inviare disegni e fotografie per posta normale. Il materiale deve arrivare entro 15 giorni prima dell'uscita di ogni numero. Verranno assicurate una o più bozze online.
- The accepted papers will be published without any
charge or reward to the authors who will authorize Footsteps of Man to
diffuse their contributions all over the world through its electronic and
draft printed version, limited to TRACCE issues and TRACCE compilations.
Each author is responsible of his statements and of pictures' and tracings' copyrights.
Texts and pictures can't be utilized out of TRACCE (except by authors themselves) without specific permission of each author.
Authors publishing again elsewhere the submitted papers are kindly requested to cite TRACCE version.
We are interested in all kind of Rock Art related papers: rocks, sites, cultures, dating, recording, imaging, interpretation, new findings. conservation problems.
Particularly we would like to offer a window open to worldwide different (and often hidden or unknown) kinds of iconographic cultures in petroglyphs and rock paintings.
Some issues will be completely or partially dedicated to specific themes, decided by the team or suggested by the researchers.
We kindly ask web-readers to monitor connection speed and time availability, signaling us results by email.
TRACCE is currently reached by 10-20 people a day.
